Is there any free monitoring program that I can install on my Mac and monitor it from a PC over my network. I was thinking of using VNC but I don't like that. I would love if it could control apps also.

i forget how i heard about it but theres a program called tightVNC that you can use and you can control the apps with it as well, and it's free.
Then on your mac just go to system prefs and enable remote login.

In fact i just used it 10 minutes ago to log my sister off of my macbook because she wouldn't give it back 🙄

tightVNC lets you view the romote desktop of a mac, i *think* you can also set it so that you can have another computer view it's desktop(windows)

apple lets you allow remote login/desktop in the sys preferences so set it to allow that.

If you want to use a mac to see the windows desktop i'm not sure what you should do, i'll check that out for you though
