I believe this happens for two reasons:

1. The canadian dallor needs more currency to keep up w/ the US dollar, so things are more expensive, thus making freebies a little harder to do, especially if its an american company funding the operation

AND


2. It cost much more to ship internationally, so any US company will just exclude u because it just costs too much to ship a freebie to u.
it wouldnt cost that much shipping concidering theres no tariffs on electronics... but authorized dealers sometimes put nice deals on them :D
apple canada ships their computers for free i believe :S but i may be wrong, but i think macwarehouse ships for free *looks in catalog*...looks like it cuz theres only something about if i wanted overnite delivery it would be $15...

yeah but i dont think ud care much about overnight. lol, unless ur THAT desperate to have ur mac experience.
 
i know, im not one of those ppl who want a mac so bad that they have to get the top of the line one n asap :p lol...
i could wait a week for it to be shipped for all i care :p, if i dont end up going to the puter store with my dad, i could try getting him to talk to the school puter tech n order one through him (cuz he works for the school division) n he can pick it up at the school

edu discount also (if tehy even do taht kind of stuff in canada..... ;) wouldnt supprise me if tehy didnt... tehy dont do anything else )

i dont think i could get an edu discount since im in gr 12...but 75 bux less would be nice ;)

my dad probably couldnt get a discount (hes not a teacher or anything like that..he just works for the school division lol) but my dad knows nothing about computers so he'dd probably tell me to talk to the tech guy...even tho im not the one with the money lol
