I needed to update my software and was told I needed to clear up my Start Up Desk.

So I decided to use Monolingual to delete languange files that I don't need and being the idiot that I am, I think I accidently deleted some other things which I've been told is the AppleKeyboardLayouts.bundle.

I didn't knew it at the time, and was typing something when I realized none of the keys were working. So, like an old Windows user, I quit everything and restarted it. I came to my login page and none of my keys (except the function keys and capslock) were working.

From what I've looked up, there's nothing else to do but to re-install. However, I have important video files I haven't backed up. Will Archive and Install allow me to keep those kind of files? As well as programs such from Adobe and Final Cut Pro?

Thank you so much in advance.
Any other suggestions are of course welcome.

Archive and Install should just reinstall the system and leave your user folder etc intact. But if I were you, just to be safe, I'd back up the vital data first, either by connecting to another Mac via target disk mode or via a local network, etc.
