I don't believe the date ranges they claim in their statement. My card was recently compromised during the same time frame and in the same manner as many of the people reporting problems (the seemingly innocuous $1 iTunes charge). I find it unbelievably coincidental that my first case of card fraud in 16 years just happened to occur at the same time and same manner as other people's as a result of the Monoprice breach. My last, and only, Monoprice orders were at the beginning of December.
The card companies, or at least Amex, had picked up on what was going on. They flagged the iTunes charge as potentially fraudulent and contacted me, even though I buy stuff through iTunes at least once every few months, so it wasn't an odd charge to have hit my account.
