The bottom line here is:

There is a reason that Geniuses are no longer allowed to make judgement calls on replacement devices and are required to charge for an out of warranty replacement regardless of the circumstances. The policy was abused.

If the 14 day return policy is abused one too many times for the bean counters to ignore, the specialists will be required to make Genius Bar appointments for computer returns. This will quelch the unethical returns such as the OP's but create unnecessary Hell for those who are just trying to do a simple exchange.

"It's just once.. Won't hurt <insert corp name> bottom line.." Eventually punishes everybody.

Woop!!! i left my laptop in a ''a'' form for three days in my room ( which is about 25 temperature, i live in curaçao ) and my whole screen is 100%!! the sugars are gone i guess, but i still smell the monster in it, but i dont care that!

Thanks for posting up. I was wondering how you ultimately fared and if we'd ran you off when the thread went askew. If it were me, I'd say immediately back up, if you haven't already, because although you're good to go this is usually the point where "little" things start to pop up (in terms of mechanical/electrical issues).

Me, I'd probably still figure out how hard it is to take apart and clean under the keyboard... but if yours is working just fine with no sticking keys it might be good to leave well enough alone (e.g. if it ain't broke, don't "fix" it)

It's working fine at the moment used it for about 4 hours from playing music to internet and watching a movie.
But i can't recharge it, i think the recharge broke due to the monster. Anyway when im back in Holland i'm going to bring it to a specialist to look if something is wrong with it, so I don't mess it up with insurance.
