HomePod Monterey and HomePod mini as iMac speakers

Hi everyone

I have a 2020 iMac 27" and was thinking about replacing an old set of desktop speakers with some HomePod minis.

However, I wanted to check in to get your experience of using HomePod minis as a stereo pair as I've heard earlier hard/software combinations weren't great and had significant audio lag meaning this set up was useless for Teams/Zoom calls.

What's the latest, can anyone confirm?

It works, but it's not reliable. It's really buggy using the new Music.app on Mac especially if they're grouped together as 1 airplay device.

Thanks Jaw — I’d heard that. Seems like the pods are good for music but not much more. Real shame.
