If i bought a macbook today, when montevina comes out, would i be able to update it? or buy a new macbook???

and what is Montevina? What does it do?

Thanks

No, you wouldn't. Not for free, anyway.

Montevina's a new chipset that will bring higher clock speeds (read: 3GHz in a MacBook Pro) to the laptops.

No, you could not update your current macbook, but you could buy a new one with the new chipset in.

Montevina is the latest chipset and processor so that the computer runs faster, using less energy, not becoming so hot so you don't need so much power to cool it.
