Moose from AlaskaMoose

    Just one of lots of moose photos I have taken for the past 3 years. Used a Rebel XT, and a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L prime. Yes, I could have blurred the background a little more, but is was getting dark when I took this photo.

    Thanks. Glad that you like it.

    Although moose are so large, they are very graceful. They move around without creating hardly any noise. Moose like this one roam the neighborhoods, eating willow and birch in people's backyards. They are not very aggressive unless one invades a certain zone of safety. For example, I was perhaps 125 to 175 feet away from this one, and it didn't mind my presence at all, although her young calf was nearby. But I had to make certain that I didn't get between her and her calf.

    as Mikey- said 'Great Photo' , that Moose looks so not bothered your taking the shot, thats brilliant ;) Those moose things look great :)
