I was considering picking one of these up for my iPhone 6 Plus, but then read reviews about lightning port charging issues and constant beeping.

Has this been fixed/addressed in newer versions if any?

I do find it to have inconsistencies. Sometimes when I activated charging it would turn on and off rapidly until I shut it off and remove top piece and put it back. Other than that design is spectacular and the fe l of it is perfect.

It sounds like the issue isn't addressed then.

Anyone have any other recommendations for battery cases? It seems it's hard to find a product that just works and performs as advertised.

I am on my eighth Mophie, since I buy one for each new iPhone. Mine see very heavy use, they've been great.

Not a single problem which is why I've been very loyal to the brand. Fit and finish is outstanding, I am very satisfied. :D

No lightning port charging issue whatsoever? Hmmm, seems you are in the minority on this based on the reviews and numerous articles I've been reading and seeing on Youtube.

That is correct, but as far as I know in any case you always have 14 days for testing things out.
My friend do not have issue with that.

I love mine..no issues at all have used it on my 6plus and 6s plus as well..works great

I haven't had any trouble with any Mophie. I have the 6 Plus one and it has been great so far. I haven't had it long. One thing though- they advertise it as for the 6 Plus/6s Plus and it took me two buying to two to find one that fit the 6s Plus. They should really update it to fit the 6s Plus better.

Its important to remember that people enjoying their products have no reason to complain.

Exactly. The minority, the ones with problems, are always the most vocal. I've used mophies since 2007/2008 and only ever had a few times where I had to reseat the phone to get it to charge - with the iPhone 4/4s model.

It's like sports radio - something like 2% of all listeners ever call in to the radio show.

So..... I've also had at least one mophie for every generation iPhone generation since the iPhone 4. I've never had any issues with any of them except for two cases but they were both my fault. One had a drink spilled on it and the other fell violently and THEN and then only they developed the connectivity issues everyone is talking about on off on off etc.

But as was stated before, the complaints are most definitely the rare, infrequent occasions of faulty cases. These are the #1 selling cases every iPhone generation for a reason. And their customer service is pretty good. If you drop it a lot and it's all banged up, I don't know how willing they are to exchange it but as long as there is no water damage and more than normal abuse and minor scratches, I can't see them denying a replacement for one that isn't charging properly.

How much heavier is the phone with the case on?

It's a lot heavier. I had the mophie on my 4S and have it on my 6+ and both cases increased the weight significant;y but its still light enough to use on a day to day basis. I'm 6'1 200 lbs with fairly large hands so to me its nothing really.

All in all, Ive tried other battery cases but the mophie is the best I've used which is why I stick with them. I had a few minor issues with the USB losing/holding charges but nothing too major. They were quick to send me a replacement cable with no hassle. I definitely recommend the case. Only downside is it doesn't fully charge the 6+ from 0%-100% but you still get at least 60+% charge. Ive heard others saying theirs charged up to 80% so YMMV.

The Mophie, at least the 6 Plus one, is lighter than the phone itself so the weight isn't a huge deal. The older ones were much heavier.

I can't remember how heavy my iPhone 6 one felt but it wasn't a huge deal. I travel a lot and love my Mophies.
