I got the Mophie Juice Pack Plus for my iPhone 5. I received it yesterday and charged it up. I started to use it last night and noticed that sometimes when I started the camera app while the phone was being charged by the Mophie that it would get into this loop where it would start charging and then stop charging and it would continuously do this until I turned the Mophie off completely.

It happened again this morning when I used it to charge my phone again only this time it was when I was swiping down to refresh the Facebook app. I wanted to see if I could re-create it by then turning on the camera app and sure enough it started to happen again. I turned the Mophie off and then proceeded to use the phone for a bit and then re-started the charging and it did not happen again.

I'm curious to find out if anyone else experienced anything similar with any Mophie products and what was the cause or resolution?

That's pretty strange. The charge passes to the phone should be continuous and applications shouldn't have any effect on that. If they do, there could be a defect with the device. We'd recommend returning it to your retailer for exchange or come visit www.mophie.com/TS to start up the warranty process.

I have owned to juice packs one for my I phone 4 , and one for my I phone 4s. And both packs has done this on random occasions for no apparent reason. I was also wondering what causes this.

When you are using the camera app it will require to activate your phone app inside the phone system. And when the camera activated it will require much more power outcome. For some kind of power charging protection reason your phone battery refused to be charged at that moment to protect itself.

So i am thinking the problem is come from your phone battery not the Mophie Juice Pack.

Do you work for Mophie? According to their post above it doesn't sound like this should be happening and I've found more than one person who has had a similar experience. So somehow Facebook would cause the phone to use more power? That sounds preposterous if you ask me.

That IS preposterous and a prime example of someone making up bologna just to hear themselves talk.

Go to mophie's website and contact support: I've had issues with cases from them in the past and they're excellent about replacing them in a timely manner, with very little muss or fuss required.

Thank you! I already did, I'm sending it back tomorrow. It was quick and painless.
