Interesting article in CNET yesterday about Sony abandoning the ODD.

This article is stating the reason as being "fierce competition" which drove the prices down causing the market to not be profitable anymore. Something the Cnet article overlooks entirely. Not exactly evidence. Just shows that the market is as savage as ever with one less option and cheaper drives.
