I was just browsing a graphic card review page for the GTX68m Here
and came across a notable piece of information that caught my attention.

    • "The improved feature set now includes support for up to 4 active displays. Furthermore, high resolution monitors of up to 3840x2160 pixels can now be connected using DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 1.4a if available."

Up to 4 active displays. It would make perfect sense for Apple to now choose this as the graphics card for the iMac, not many cards can support that number of displays, at that resolution(ideal for retina) and run smoothly.

    • Pixel support. Almost 4k resolution. If Apple do go with a retina iMac, I would bet with the evidence here that they are going to use this card.

The current AMD 6970M supports up to six displays.

Ah I did not see this, but nonetheless the new GTX680m is currently the fastest mobile processor at least as of it's announcement.
