i installed some fonts, everything is working fine except on some of the pages I get garbled text where the fonts should say names?

If I go to forums similiar to this I get a bunch if what looks to be dingbats where the name of the poster should be. Is there a default way to set Safari to read the fonts correctly? I set my fonts in preferences but still am missing some fonts oon message boards and a few webpages.

I attached an image to show you more in detail and an image of my preferences. Thanks for all the help.

It looks great from where I sit. Your dialog box lists Arial 14 your proportional font and Arial 13 as your fixed-width font. Nothing is garbled. However, my suggestion is not to use Arial as fixed-width because ... well, it isn't fixed-width.

Look at the text to the left of the red arrow??

This does not change the fact that Arial is not a fixed-width font.
