Might I suggest iCal for scheduling Mod "windows"?

If only our schedules were that predictable...

We do notice when there are gaps in moderator coverage or just slow response time, and we do our best to address those needs when we can. As others have said, our moderator status is under continual internal evaluation, but we certainly appreciate hearing from our membership about how things appear from the "outside."
 
Let's remember that the mods volunteer their time and (hopefully) have productive lives outside of these forums. As a long time member, I can count on my hands the number of times a problem has taken more than an hour or so to resolve. Pretty damn good in my opinion.

And like the rest of us, mods sometimes need a break from this place which may cause coverage to be a bit less.

That said, the mods do a great job and I wouldn't want their job at twice the pay. ;)

Good thoughtul post for once:p rdowns. This is one of the best moderated sites I've ever visited - and it's the only one I actually spend time on, partly because of this.
