Whats the little sign in the lower right courner of the first photo saying "The missing sync"? in the apple booth?

I think it's a sign that we should start over analyzing photos again! :p

Quick question... this 'Keynote' thing is at 9am California time (I think). Is that when the major announcement(s) will be? I'm trying to work out whether I can get home from work in time (UK) to watch them. I seem to remember my dad had to watch them at work in 2003.

Yup, it's scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. San Fransisco time. Which is 18pm CET, 17pm GMT.

There are security guards that won't let anyone come near the booth.

You can get near it, and even walk the perimeter. I did that one year, on the Monday night before. I didn't dare bring my camera, though -- and the one entrance was guarded by a very formidable guy in black Apple t-shirt. He looked like a bar bouncer and had "don't even think about it" written all over his face. I kept moving. But I got close. :)

I just want Steve to show a brand new interface design for Leopard.

I will be very disappointed if they don't change the interface with this release.

Same. That is my main reason for wanting this keynote to start.

Do we all think we will see a final polished version of Leopard considering that Vista is so close to being released?

The tension! The drama! The crowd! The buzz! The atmosphere!!!

Chundles, I didn't expect to see a Twelfth Man reference here on the MacRumors Forums, or "Reverse PC Rumours" Forums as they're known nowadays (I'm referring to the latest CD, 'Boned').

Apologies to all who probably have no interest in understanding that reference to an Australian satirist.

C'mon, new Leopard interface. C'mon, new displays...

RSS feeds are built in on the SE P990i

Not that I'm saying you should go and buy one - it crashes ever other minute.

It will be going on ebay if a smartphone iPhone is released, if you're interested ;)

thinking about it i went out and found a website called rmail.org that will sms me rss feeds.

I wanna know if i should try it cause there dosent seem to be a way to cancel it after macworld or ever.

I remember us getting excited over a couple covered banners at Apple Expo Paris a couple years ago. Massive dissapointment when they turned out to be for a new version of .Mac. While there seems to be a much larger number of covered banners this time around we should probably lower our expectations a notch or two. Half of them are probably for Leopard features.

Hmm no way of cancelling... let me guess, they also charge £1.50 per message? ;)

On a different note, does anyone want a dark interface for the mac as standard? Would this not be oppressive? Not saying I wouldn't like it, just stating one reason why it might not have got the go-ahead from apple HQ

If that's the route they're going, I'm sure they can make it not seem oppressive...after all, even if you stick a teletubbie or a fisher-price toy in a dark suit, I would doubt they look very oppressive. :p

And the current black (which is quite dark) iPods and black MacBooks don't look oppressive either...so it doesn't have to look oppressive because it's dark/uses black.

Actually, those banners aren't covered. The new look for Leopard was inspired by Spinal Tap. :D

I get myself worked up into a little frenzy before events like this, so this year I am trying to stay calm.

That includes:

- Selling my Dual G5 on ebay - check
- Checking macrumors every 2 minutes - check
- RSS feeds to my phone in case I can't - check
- Not revising for exams - check
- Probably going to feel let down - check

;)

I'm exactly the same with exams and coursework at the moment. Until macworld comes I can't settle to anything! Weird isn't it?! :D
