I plan on getting the 15' rMBP relatively soon (Hopefully after WWDC).

I understand that upgrading parts after purchase is not possible, which has led me to a dilemma. Since I am getting the 512 gig SSD, I can only either upgrade the RAM to 16gb or the CPU to the 2.7ghz (or whatever the equivalent after the rMBP refresh).

I plan on using the computer for some gaming, school work, and possibly some engineering applications. I plan on primarily using windows 7 in boot camp, or at least for when i game or need to do work.

thanks

Definitely the RAM. Although if you are upgrading the RAM and SSD, you might just want to get the high end stock model with the 2.7, 512 GB,and 16 GB RAM for $2799.

I might just go that route, as it's only an extra $100
