Anyone using the Moshi USB-C charging cable with their new 2016 15" MacBook Pro? The cable with the smart LEDs?

I realize the Moshi charging cables are only capable of 60W charging vs. 87W charging with the Apple charger. So with the Moshi cable it will take longer to charge.

But, I mostly leave the cable attached...so once it's fully charged at least I can glance at the cable and see it's plugged in and fully charged.

I have it, and it's only so-so.

In principle, it's a good cable. However its LED will always be orange when power passes through. It can't distinguish between power needed for charging the battery or power needed for using the laptop. they call it the Smart LED but it's not so clever.

The only time it'll be green is when you close the laptop, and the battery is fully charged.

Magsafe is clever and will be green when the battery is charged, regardless of whether you're using the laptop or not.

Well that doesn't sound too smart! Thanks for your response. I'll pass for now and wait until other LED charging cables become available.
