More than my fair share of things get on my nerve, but I put up with it most of the time. A couple that come to mind are:

- idear | idea
- sangwich | sandwich

Surely, the most annoying phrase is:

Last orders, PLEASE, ladies and gentlemen.

In second place:

Let's be having your glasses

For sure

I really dislike this phrase, especially when used by sports people in interviews.

"To name but a few", drives me mad. It's pompous and artificial.

But everyone seems to be using it these days: Celebrities, TV presenters, bloggers and politicians, to name but a few!

Aaaaargh! I have to go lie down now.

"The fact remains"

Quite annoying, especially when people that use it, don't actually know what a fact truly is!

Wow, I can't believe this thread is back, or that it has this many replies.

Probably been said already but:

"Fair enough"

and

"It's the least I can do" - isn't the least you can do 'nothing'?

another one I remembered:

"My bad"

I could care less <---really? you friggin dolt.

sammich <----horrified way of saying sandwich

mine-guh <----my friend can't seem to say the word "mine" without adding a "G" sound to the end.

I don't know if this was posted 'cause I'm too lazy to read 18 pages of this. A woman I work with says "axe" instead of "ask". Drives me nuts. Can I axe you a question? I've heard others say it too.

I'm sure it has been mentioned already, but my most despised spoken phrase is:

"Can I get a..."

I hear it almost every day in either Starbucks or Subway.

Anytime there is some sort of team based competition on a reality tv show that results in people getting kicked out then a winner selected some moronic broad is always clinging on to their last shred of hope by whining how they or someone else needs to "step up" ect ect.

Makes me want to smash my tv to smithereens.

My personal favourite phrase to say at work is a variation:

When pissed and telling a subordinate to do something but getting excuses and static back : I DON'T GET CARE JUST GET IT DONE.

When I'm not having a meltdown at work I'll tell the pakis and indos to GIT ER DUN! and they giggle

It's the least I can do" - isn't the least you can do 'nothing'?
No, because then you wouldn't be doing anything.

Mine is business speak (made up words or positive only words). Being forced to be that positive all the time really pisses me off ironically. Being PC really ticks me off in generally.

Also, "anyways" even though it's in the dictionary. Why say that when it's technically fewer letters to just say "anyway?"

Another one, "Where you at?" or adding the word "at" to the end of a location based question. Just makes you sound really dumb because it's adding a word that isn't needed.

Most recent pet peeve, hearing someone say, "FAIL" at work ... just, NO.
