Who makes a 4k monitor that would fit the best with Apple's design for the Mac Pro?

    +1.

There are really only three or maybe four choices at the moment...
The 31.5 inch units from Dell, Sharp, and Asus all use the Sharp IGZO panel, but the Dell is the best implementation in that it uses a wide gamut backlight. The Asus and Sharp do not have the same colour reproduction as the Dell despite using the same panel. None of them look particularly nice... Certainly nothing like Apple products. The other possible choice is the LG 3840x1440 wide screen display which has Apple-like design aesthetics, but lacks the added vertical pixels of the aforementioned 4K displays based on the IGZO panel.

There is hope of more choice coming soon with AU Optronics manufacturing an IPS 4K panel in a 32" size with better specs than the IGZO (likely at a better price as well). That's what I'm waiting for - and hopefully that's what Apple is waiting for too ;)

There are nice, but expensive, monitors out there that perform very well with the MacPro, but if you're talking about a design match for the Pro, ie available as an option in glossy black perhaps, none that I can think of. Many are waiting to see what Apple will introduce, when those aging Thunderbolt Displays will finally be upgraded.

Do NOT buy the Sharp 4K Monitor

Do NOT buy any 4K display. I have the Sharp that is sold by Apple as the display for my new MacPro and it only works at 30Hz. The result is an unstable finder where the mousepoint is huding a lot.

Aplle says they kniw if the problem and are workung on a solution..........!
It is a software thing. The monitor us fine but Apple software sucks.

Wait for the 4K that will bear the Apple logo.

That problem will be fixed soon, don't worry about it. If you can afford, buy it now or wait for the new ones from several brands that is supposed to be released later this year.
