Most bang for the buck - MB/MBP, new or refurb??

Hi all-

I am about to purchase a new laptop and my first mac. Which is going to give me the most bang for the buck?

a. New SR MB? If so, which one -- $1099, $1299, or $1499?; or

b. Refurb Blackbook, 2.16 for $1250; or

c. Refurb 15" 2.2 MBP for $1699.

Anthing else I should consider? Thank you.

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you don't need an MBP, stop looking at them :^) If you're looking new, and you're a student, be sure to get the student discount; that knocks off at least 100. If you're looking refurbished from the Apple store, check in the morning, as the 1100 MB on the front page is available for 900 on the refurb page, and the mid-range 1300 MB is available for 1050. But in terms of value, it *really* depends on what you want to do with the computer. Figure that out first before looking at the prices.

I would vote C for the 15" MBP refurb.
