Hi Folks, i have a mid 2010 5,1 currently with an ATi 6870 (i sold on my older ATI card). I'm looking to upgrade to a GTX 760 but I was also wondering what the most basic, super cheap, bootscreen capable graphics card (hopefully bus powered) is that I can add as a second card to attach a monitor purely for basic functionality during upgrades etc. I used to use the card out of my partners old mac pro but that has been sold on too.

thanks

I have a GT 120, old but faithful... It's a must with nvidia cards that are not flashed.

ditto & it doesn't even need to be in the machine using power & chucking out heat as you can leave it on the shelf & only fit it if you ever have problems with drivers for the Nvidia card or need to debug some early boot time problem with the Mac Pro.
