Well, you brought up "moral" first, I don't think anyone had said that. I don't see this as "immoral", you're on an unlimited plan and paying for it, however you're screwing anyone with an AT&T data capable device who lives around you, and don't even get me started on how you can pull in 90 GB of data on 3G. The time you'll save alone getting broadband should make it worth it.
I get 6mbps down on 3G, 10mbps down on my Cable but that's only recently, used to be 5 megs. Not to mention, if he's using DSL, there's a chance his cellphone is actually FASTER.
I used an aircard where I used to live, where the only option was sattelite. At the time I was pushing around 1.5mbps, beats the heck out of dial up! (But even then, I didn't push 5GB. I don't pirate junk, and mostly rent [redbox] or buy my movies, I don't use netflix or anything. At the time, Hulu didn't exist, so I bet my usage is alot more now. I just don't understand 90GB even on my 6mbs down.)
That's 34 hours of non-stop downloading at my speed, which I guess isn't that bad, but if his speed is half mine, then you can double those hours, so on and so forth.
I barely push 1GB a month, usually in the 650MB range, but I spend almost all of my time in a WiFi area. Home, School, Work, etc. I do stream audio in the car alot to my stereo, from Pandora, or apps like TWiT, but that's about it. I do tether with my iPad though (I know it sounds silly but I don't want to do an untethered jailbreak on my iPhone, don't mind on my iPad), that I have to watch, I can push 2GB on the months where there is a period of time I can't use WiFi on my laptop.

Edit: I've gotta admit, I love living in a rural area where everyone uses the same cellphone for 10 years, when you say broadband they think their belt is loose, and they get mad because new software doesn't support Windows 98, which "they paid good money for". I NEVER have bandwidth issues out here
