Most solid, fast and high quality converter for macOS?

Need to convert a few files to .mp4 whille retaining the most quality out of the originals. Also would like it to be super fast.

Any recommendations? I don't mind paying if it's something really worth it!

macOS sierra with i7 2.8ghz.

Handbrake works well for this.

I tried handbrake and it took a lot of time. I do not know if it's slower by nature or the settings. It's really confusing for someone who knows nothing about this subject. 🙁

FLV Crunch also works. I use it more than Handbrake.
