Most stable IOS for iPad 2?

I plan on reformatting my iPad 2 and Re-jailbreaking it.
I believe it may have 6.1 running on it currently (jailbroken)
I have read many bad reviews on iOS 7 and up.

Could someone please help recommend a stable iOS to jailbreak for the iPad2?

Mine isn't jailbroken, but I took it back to factory settings a few days ago and the latest iOS is running on it perfectly.
