Which is the most stable OS for my Mac Pro (Mid '12) quad core?

I was wondering as each revision doesn't care about last years hardware, so would snow leopard be the most stable?

I run ML on my 2012 cMBP - Mavericks is decent but ML is much more responsive.

personally I think Mavericks is poorly programmed because the Yosemite beta runs fine, even better than ML at times

Snow Leopard. But the compatibility issue with newer apps forced me to upgrade to a newer OS. My second choice would be Mavericks.

Probably Snow Leopard. Unfortunately Apple have ditched it and apps will be losing compatibility fast.
