Could I really get a 2005/2006 Honda CBR 600 F3 and F4; Yamaha YZF 600, R6, for 2grand

The F3 is an older bike like 1997-1998 (I think) The f4 came out 1999 then in 2002/2003 F4i (same as the F4 but Fuel injected) I would stay away from early Fuel injected Honda's.

The newer model years like 2005 and 2006 are Honda CBR 600RR.

Don't quote me on all the model years it's been awhile for me as well. I sold my bike about 2 years ago.

Why do I want to stay away from Fuel Injected. Wouldn't that be a little more reliable?

The first model years were pretty bad. The acceleration was very abrupt not as smooth as carburetor models. It's more refined now days in newer models.

FI has nothing to do with reliability. The only difference between a carburetor and FI is that FI is easier to tune. Hence remapping your ecu (fuel map) with a computer or such. Carburetor have to be taken apart for being sync'd.

Oh well I dont care to much about tuneing or moding... So thats good to know... Thanks because I was aiming slowely on FI, but now I won't.
