My family is switching providers really soon and it's looking like it might be Verizon. I really hope they release this phone for Verizon. I just want a phone that works, I can care less about camera's, mp3 players, etc. I hope they made it so it gets good reception.

Nice blog! And some of those new models are cuuute! It's a good thing they aren't available in Magenta now, though, or I would cry. ;) As is, I'm very happy with my Magenta V3. :)

i hate the razr and most of its variants, but the MOTOphone looks amazing. so small, simple and no bull extra bits. all apple needs is a phone lie that with a nano fused to the back and i'd be set. i hate carrying a cell phone and ipod at the same time.

Then I'd stay clear of Motorola, especially a Motorola phone with Verizon's firmware.

I think you read my mind. I wish i would have switched to Alltel, at least they use the Motorola software, instead of Verizon's ugly red and slow interface.

That motofone looks like they're trying to get thinner than the slvr, which I guess should be their goal since there are now like 3 phones thinner than the slvr. All these news about 'improved' interface, I'll believe it when I see it.

That RIZR is beautiful. I'm not sure if I'd trade it for my SLVR L6, but I sure do love slider phones. As for all of the other RAZR variants, nothing for me. I never liked the RAZR design at all. Much too large when the phone is opened.

Ugh. Razr's make me sick.
Why?

Because I have a 1st Generation, Razr, which I paid $300 for in April '05.
Granted, I did enjoy the looks and stares and compliments for the first few months I had it, but one month after the price dropped, $200, and since its saturated the phone market and has become the "official" phone, because everyone has it. It has lost its cache.

So, in Feb., when I can FINALLY upgrade my phone, if they don't give me an incredible deal, then I'm heading over for a Q, [only $200 with 2 year].

I know, prices will drop, technology outdates, etc etc etc, I am just sick of seeing everyone with a Razr.

+1

Having had 2 Motorola phones, both have had horrible reception.
My friend swears by Verizon's reception where I live though.

I don't know guys, all you moto UI bashers have got to remember that they've redesigned their UI completely- it runs on a different system and it works completely different. For example- the menu button is gone- that should make things a bit more logical for most users out there, including me.

ACK! I just found out that the SLVR L7c (cdma slvr) is EXACTLY the same as the old slvr but with different firmware.

Same old crappy VGA camera.

Here's a picture (from moto):
