I recently purchased Mountain Duck through Bundlehunt. I received the license file, downloaded the app from the Mountain Duck website. This places the app in the application folder. When I double click the license file, it says it registerd. But I see nothing else. I do not see the duck icon in the far right status bar, I do not see the duck mount point in finder. Is there a trick to get it to work? Is Bundlehunt, not a legitimate site? Is it possible that even though it says it registered, it is not true?

If your Mac has a display with a notch for the camera, the menu bar item might be hidden by the notch.
It does have the notch. But I do not see the app when I go to the Force Quit menu. It is not an option to quit.
Have you tried to contact the developer? Also, Bundlehunt is a legitimate site, your registration is provided by the actual developer.
I have been emailing the developer. Since I can see it in activity monitor, it seems something is either preventing the icon or hiding the icon from appearing.
I installed Mountain Duck for 5 mins, it doesn't appear in the Dock but there's a Menubar item at the top of the screen from which you control it.
You didn’t like Mountain Duck? I just now got the icon to appear in the right corner. I had to turn off one of my startup items for it to appear. I guess I need to look for a menu bar app that will not interfere with the icon. Now that I see the icon, I need to setup some mounts to see if i will like it.
I only installed it to try and help you with your issue! I did try to setup OneDrive with it, but Safari got stuck trying to sign into my account so I gave up.
