Many thanks to you AQUA, it did fix it. It looks awesome, works awesome.

Will the theme supposed to change the Dashboard icon on the dock as well?

You're welcome :) Yes it supposed to change.

Problem

Hello, first off I am not a bright person haha. I installed this on Snow Leopard. It has made my computer lose functionality. Any window(finder, chrome, itunes etc.) does not display close/min/max and also funciton buttons or toggles like check marks next to boxes on websites or Itunes. Super strange, and I understand it is my own fault. Hoping you had a solution, thanks a ton! Oh and I have tried the uninstaller many times, did not work.

I'll just add my thanks for this as well. I've been using it since the early versions.

I have two PowerBook G4s and I'm using version 2 (I think) on my 1Ghz, but updated to version 3 the other day on my DLSD.

I tend to gravitate toward dark themes. On my 1Ghz I applied the theme and then used Magnifique and CandyBar to apply the rest. I have pretty much 95% of what I want. I'd like to have a black background on my Finder windows with a gray sidebar and slightly less dark stripes in the Finder windows. But I haven't found anything that will do that on Leopard yet. It was easy with Tiger because I had Shapeshifter, but that of course does not work now.

Here's a shot of my desktop with AQUADock's theme and the other modifications I applied.

Thanks AQUADock!

The things you want to change cannot be done unfortunately :(.

Thank you for responding Aqua. The install went smoothly, restarted and the login screen looked great. Once I got into my desktop I had problems. Tried the uninstall and didn't work unfortunately. I was hoping there was an easier way to uninstall, but I will wipe, no worries. Thanks for your time, again I realize I messed up, I guess I wasn't paying attention.

Have not read those lines on the first post? You only have yourself to blame.

What are you a cyber-bully haha. I already said it was my fault, take it easy pal. Sorry we can't all be mac "gods". Go outside and shoot a basketball every-once in a while.

I am sorry Aqua, but I will not let it pass for this guy above me.

Am I a cyber-bully to you?

I just made it clear to you that you missed reading the most important requirement before you install the theme. It is not Aqua's fault if it did ruin your SL install.

You might have learned to read between the lines before you install anything on your mac.

If you have read it carefully, you have saved your time posting on this forum.

Have you read the next line on my post? It suggests for you to wipe clean your HDD and reinstall your SL.

Is that cyber-bullying?

It was a joke "god" (notice the haha). Seriously take it easy...I didn't blame Aqua, I just asked if he had a fix besides a full wipe. Not a big deal, he replied said no. I thanked him for his time. I really have no idea why you are even in this conversation.

No need to point out to read a line when I realize that I messed up. It was late at night lying in bed and I just saw this pretty sweet looking theme. Did it quick, I messed up and now my computer is a little wacky. I will back it up and wipe, no big deal. Thanks for making my first post on this website such a great experience.

How do I go about changing the default .jpg of the Apple? I wanted to use the older 80's multicolor Apple instead.

Something like this attached image?

I spent a few hours, mostly digging for the Apple Garamond font to make it, but I have two versions. One with the rainbow apple and original text, and one with the rainbow apple and the Apple Garamond text. I also included the original just for safe keeping.

Go to:
Code:
/System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/Resources
Delete the original, and then pick the version you want, and change the name to MacOSX.tif before you copy it into the Resources folder. Log out, log in, and you should be colorful!

I'm glad people are enjoying his theme but does anybody have any requests or any changes that they want for the next version?

And I'm glad to see you are preparing a new version :D

Sorry if I'm repeating myslef, but I think you should replace the upper right corner button by the «fullscreen» button introduced in Lion (not sure if it was on Lion or Snow Leopard)

You should also try to change this icons by the new greyscale ones.

And change this button to this stock lion button.

And I hope there is something to do about these buttons. When their are clicked, the line separating the buttons make the whole thing look not so great.

I forgot something ! :D

The rounded sliders are still the old Aqua ones.

I noticed something strange : Illustrator CS4 is still using the old Aqua buttons

when Photoshop CS 4 (so the same "suite") is using the Mountain Lion buttons

those don't look completely Aqua. Perhaps it is like GIMP in X11- is an imitation Aqua interface using its own files, therefore this theme cannot change it.

Yes, I was thinking about that too. But the weird thing is that Photoshop is using the system interface...

Thanks but many of those i cannot change unfortunately as i can't find where the resources for the images are :(. Photoshop uses some of its own files for some reason.

Yes that looks like it. Adobe makes some terrible software.

3 CHEERS for Aqua!!

You have indeed helped keep our machines alive and well.. This G5 Quad still has plenty of life left in it.. Shame Apple dropped support too too soon. I would have liked to have seen Snow Leopard on a G5 Quad, even Lion.. Maybe/maybe not Mountain Lion...

Snow Leopard should have been the FINAL OS for PowerPC, not Leopard. My Quad could have made use of 64-bit kernel booting as well as Grand Central Dispatch.
