I have a Lacie DVD burner , that also burns Lightscribe labels ( on appropriate
blank media) I have heard that OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion has problems with the old Lacie Drives - specifically the label burning software. I am wondering if anybody has experienced this firsthand, and how they solved it. I am about to purchase a new Mac Mini - which will come with MtnLion - but I do want to retain the capability to burn labeled discs. Any ideas ? comments ? rants ? anecdotes ?

I haven't actually purchassed yet - but my 2006 ( EARLY 2006) iMac is showing it's age.

Test actually worked

I had access to a Mountian Lion MacBook Pro, and downloaded the Lightscribe disc Labeler program. I successfully burned an image on the LightScribe blank media, using my old LightScribe DVD burner. I did download the latest driver, which did not wan to load due to security settings, but this was easily overcome...just in case anybody else uses/cares about LightScribe ...
