Mountain Lion and Mirroring

Apple states that Mountain Lion mirroring will only work on early 2011 Macbook Pros. Not sure I understand why so limited. I have a mid 2009 MBP and it definitely seems like it should work as well. What gives?

Didn't notice that either. 2011 or later iMac. I got 2010.

Was one of the features I was looking forward to. Oh Well.

It's an Intel hardware dependent feature.

I think that mirroring will work just fine. Footnote 3 on this page (http://www.apple.com/osx/whats-new/features.html) only seems to apply to Quicktime: High-performance H.264 encoding
