Mountain Lion - External HDD problem?

Hi Guys,

My External HDD worked perfectly with Lion.

My macbook pro just arrived with Mountain Lion installed. Now when I plug it in via USB the light stays blue on the HDD and isn’t recognised on the mac.

I plug it into my girlfriends mac with Lion and it flashes white and is recognised so it’s a problem with mountain lion.

Any ideas?

Does it show up in Finder after you pressed CMD+SHIFT+C (File > Go > Computer)?

Does it show up in Disk Utility?

I'll check when i get home as im back at work now...
