I installed Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro this morning. It got to the point where it said "less than a minute" and the blue progress bar was all the way over.

Then it said "about a minute"
Then "about 2 minutes"
Then "about 3 minutes"

Then it dropped all the way back to "about 20 minutes"

But it finally completed and rebooted. It was a little flaky for a bit after rebooting in Mountain Lion. I restarted again and now it seems fine.

But it scared me with that dropping back to 20 minutes. Anyone else see this behavior?

Same type of situation on a Mid-2011 Mac Mini (Base i5 with 4GB RAM). It initially stated 35 minutes, worked it's way over, then returned to 20 minutes. I am halfway through that 20 minute period and hoping it will work.

Yup, had the same problem with my iMac. When I installed ML on my MBA, no such problem....go figure....

I had a similar problem with my iMac 2011.

Started about 30 minutes, then it got down to about 14 minutes, and then suddenly went back up to about 20 minutes. Not much but I was angry.
