    Hi

Just picked up a 2011 2.5 mini mac with a clean instal of Mountain Lion - when I first fired her up I had to go through all the set up preferences, but i have no iLife apps and when I go into the app store it says I have no purchases.

Do I have to re-buy Mountain Lion to get the three apps? I could care less about Garage Band but like the look of iPhoto and iMovies.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

iLife is not part of Mountain Lion, and the apps that came with that computer belong to the AppleID that the original owner used. Buying Mountain Lion will not help you, but you can buy iPhoto and iMovie on the App Store for $14.99 each.

    Ah, I see.

So I guess the next question is whether iPhoto is worth it for basic photo manipulation and organisation of whether there is a better programme for the same money or less?

    Thanks for your quick reply.
