mounted dmg files on left side

is there any way to make the mounted dmg files to appear on the left side of the screen rather than the right?

No. But you can move it to the left side after it mounts.

You can use DragThing to have disk items on the left - including mounted DMGs. Just toy with its preferences. Remember to open Finder's preferences to stop having them popping up on the right side of the desktop.
