Has anyone mounted a Mac Mini to a Studio Display to create a 27” iMac? I wondering how possible it is to eliminate from view, most, if not all the cables and hide the mini behind the monitor for an All-in-One look. Pictures would be great, if available.

That's pretty good. That's basically what I did with my backup drives on my iMac. From the front, you can't see them or any wires.

Simplest thing I have found, and currently on sale for $5!

I was about to post the same thing. I used a Twelve South shelf behind my 27” iMac for years to tuck my external drive away out of view and I’m sure it would work just as well with a Mini and a Studio Display. I think I paid more like £40 for my shelf, but it was beautifully made and very Apple-y!

Thanks. I went ahead and got one even though I was thinking more about my next machine. For the price, it’s hard to go wrong. My hope is that the new Studio Display will have essentially the same base so that this will work on it.

I'm thinking that attaching a Mini to the back of a display would hinder access to the ports when you need to reach them, and also might impact cooling.

What's the problem of just setting it down beside the display, even on it's side?

No problem, just aesthetics. That’s why I have an iMac. If I found myself frequently needing access to the ports, I may set it to the side. Or, I’d do what I did with my iMac and find a hub that integrates with the stand. Look at the picture above and notice the base on my iMac.

This is my vesa setup.
