i downloaded digital performer 5.1 and it downloaded as a cd but it says to mount it to toast??

Contact MOTU support, unless it was downloaded via a shady method

Toast is a CD burning program, and it can "mount" dmg's.

Or you can just double click the DMG and OS X should be able to open it as well.

yea i downloaded through a {site reference removed} bit torrent thing and used azuerus. where is my DMG to try and open it with that?
