Good evening,

I have a problem. Every mouse/trackpad I have used/owned on a Mac (iBook, MacMini, MacbookPro, etc.) is non-accurate, or imprecise if you prefer.

Example. In the capture I provide, i select the Dictionary. Then, I select the App below the Dictionary (1x click), which happens to be Firefox. It will either:

-Launch Firefox. Only one click. ? I just want to select it, not launch it.
-Launch the Dictionary, whereas I clicked on Firefox. (1x)
-Sometimes, it will do what it is supposed to do, select the Firefox line in blue, without launching it.

Now, when browsing the finder, that can be very annoying, and makes one loose time closing the apps he/she accidentally opened.

Anyone else expriencing this problem?

Note: this happened a lot with the iBook's trackpad, and a BIT less with the wireless Mighty Mouse. Is it Apple Hardware that is shiat? Should I look into Logitech? Are there any settings to change?

why not use the icon view? You may not be able to see as many programs in the same amount of space, but it will most likely solve your problem.

You could try changing the Mouse's Double Click Speed in the Mouse & Keyboard section of System Preferences. I don't have this same trouble. Are you sure it's not because you've had too much coffee?... :p
