I have an early 2009 Macbook. Just today I have noticed the right side of my mouse button is raised ever so slightly. Now when I touch it on the higher side it makes a very loud distinctive click, at which point I have to touch it some more before it clicks on the screen. What could it be and how do I fix it?

The issue is the tension screw to the trackpad. To fix this screw, remove the battery and it will be directly underneath it.

The screw either is too tight or too loose. You must go to the Apple Store and have them fix it for you, as the screw type is one that only Apple has.

I will take a look at it when I get home today. I will not bow to apples knees for a screw, I am sure I can take care of it. Thanks.
