I've read some forums, and heard that the logitech g7 mouse can be used on a mac, but the thunb button on the side of the mouse doesn't work. I'm going to be gaming on my mbp and would like to use the thumb button. Will installing USB Overdrive make the thumb button work?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

More than likely, USB Overdrive will work. I have a Logitech MX510 Mouse with 7 buttons, a scrollwheel, and the scrollwheel is another button as well. USB Overdrive easily lets me configure each of the buttons and wheel for each application. So if you want your thumb button to fire or whatever during gaming, that will work...then when in a browser it can be a back button or something, without any interaction from you. It's all automatic. I can't live without it!
