I have been searching for hours about info on this and still no luck.

In Windows if you click the button under the scroll wheel on almost any mouse you can scroll free around the page without need to use the wheel or scroll bars. Look at this pic:

MouseFunc2.png

How can I achieve the same in OSX Mavericks?

The wheel button is recognised by the system because I can close opened tabs in Chrome by pressing it (same as in Windows) but pressing the button and hold to scroll does not do anything.

I have tried programs like Steermouse or BetterTouchTool to see if they offer something like this but I have not seen anything.

With Steermouse I have changed the 4th and 5th buttons behavior for going back and forth and have tried to "tame" the behavior of the scrolling wheel, but I have not seen this function that is a default in WIndows offered nowhere on Mac.

I have an old RollerMouse Pro that works perfectly without drivers in Windows but suffers with this on the Mac

Any help will be appreciated.
