when I got my new iMac I used time machine from my Mac mini to get it up and running (that gave me all the bugs my mini had) I had given up on wireless Logitech mice when they stopped working well with the osx updates. went to a razor gaming mouse and it worked well. when I restored the iMac it worked and the software worked so I could program the keys.
but after I wiped the iMac and started fresh to get rid of the bugs Not the razor synapsis software won't run so all I have is a basic mouse. I have uninstalled it and redid it and rebooted. and the app just does not run. any ideas? hate to buy another mouse I would try the Logitech but I need to buy another dongle.

I tried it on my wife’s bare bones account and in safe mode won’t run. I think it ran when I booted from my Mac mini’s external drive that I ran my mini on.

Another tip would be to disable SIP, and install the Synapse software again. (simple search will find out how to disable/enable SIP)
Try to run it then (with SIP disabled).
If it does run then, re-enable SIP.

Point of order:
I've been using Logitech mice for many years now, through all the Mac OS updates, and never have they not "worked well".

I DO NOT USE the Logitech mouse driver software, however.
Instead, I use either USB Overdrive or SteerMouse.

I fired up my Logitech mx master and it seems to work well on bluetooth. so I guess back to that mouse.

Thanks for that tip, I'll give those two a shot next time my Logitech software starts acting up again. Just recently it all of a sudden decided to stop recognizing my MX Master 2S when connected via Bluetooth but worked perfectly fine when connected via the unifying USB receiver (which means that I had a basic Bluetooth mouse but a Unifying MS Master 2S mouse). Then, a few days later and without me doing anything, it went back to normal when connected via Bluetooth again. Still haven't figured out what the hell happened but it was definitely software-related.
