mouse locks up randomly - help

I am running tiger version 10.4.11, on a G5 2.0.
I called apple and they said it was a software problem, so
I reinstalled fresh (format and install), and after a day, it happened again.
After my screen saver kicks in I move my mouse and it comes back
from sleep/screen saver mode and the arrow is stuck there.

I have to unplug my mouse and plug it back in for it to work again.

Any ideas why?

The weird thing is if I am running a program in the background (ie azureus) it doesn't seem to lockup.

i am not really trying to bump this thread, but come on an i the only one that is having these problems?

seriously i need some help...
