When I got my iMac a few years ago I got a Magic Mouse with it. After using it for three days, I realized I still preferred my old cheap pc mouse. It won't win a design award, but it has a physical right click button and a scroll wheel, which is just very convenient.

Do you use the Magic Mouse, or do you have another mouse to recommend?

I also wonder about the Magic Trackpad. I love the trackpad on the MacBooks but it just seems to make more sense to use a mouse on a desktop. Also, it would cost 64 euro extra, which seems overpriced to me.

But I was wondering if anyone got the Magic Trackpad and likes it? Do you only use the trackpad or do you use both a mouse and a trackpad?

My impression is Apple's keyboards are great, though overpriced (€149 for a keyboard?!), but in my experience the mice are terrible (had a Mighty Mouse before and it wasn't much better) so I just sell them…

Thats one of those question we can’t give you an answer for. Even if 95% prefer the mouse over the trackpad, you are maybe one of those other 5%.

No offense, but people don’t trust in their own judgement nowadays, there are Youtube reviews for literally everything in this world. Even worse, many people have never learned to decide whether something is good or not.

I'm just curious about other people's ideas, for two reasons:

1. I would love to try everything but I don't have the money for that (otherwise I would just order it already).
2. Everyone tends to stick with old habits because they are used to it, but because of that you might miss out on actual improvements. For example, I ignored iCloud for years, then finally gave it a try and found out it is much better than using no cloud at all.

So yes, I would be interested to hear if people have a Magic Trackpad and/or use it.

I use both, Trackpad for moving around in Logic Pro X.

I use both, the trackpad for the gestures and force touch, and the mouse for precision

I bought both, but use the magic trackpad pretty much exclusively. Main uses are Logic, MuseScore and Word - so not a huge amount of precision needed.
