I'm a newbie so bare with me. I have been reading this forum for the last several months and finally took the plunge and bought my first Mac last week. I have over 15 years experience with PCs so please understand.

The right click button on the Mighty Mouse seems to be useless to me or at least compared to a PC mouse. Is there anyway to make it the "control" key so that control functions can be preformed with one hand instead of one hand on the keyboard and the other on the mouse?

Am I totally missing how to use this mouse? Are there some tricks for using the Mighty Mouse?

Thanks,

For right click to work on the Mighty Mouse you must lift your finger from the left side. This gets to be effortless but if you are not used to it it is hard. Also check the mouse control panel and make sure it is not set as a one button mouse. Or, plug your old two button mouse in. OS-X has supported 3 button scroll wheel mice since the beginning. Best wishes.

Thanks to all,

I had already changed the right button to secondary. You guys were right, I must have been hitting both buttons at the same time.

I guess I will be asking a lot of dumb question in the near future.

Thanks again,

FYI: I think that purchasing a Mac may very well turn out to be a wise move. I am really starting to like it.:)
