Move existing photos to photo stream

I turned on photo stream yesterday is there any way to add existing photos to photo stream?

In both the Mac and PC versions there is an uploads folder. On the PC you can access it via the Photo Stream options in the iCloud control panel. Sorry, don't know where it is on a Mac. 🙂

Copy the photos into that folder and they will upload into Photo Stream.
