iPhone 12 Pro Move from SIM to SIM free?

I am on Verizon and have a new SIM-free 12 PRO Max coming tomorrow.

I am not sure how this new phone will be activated. I plan to do the phone to phone transfer of data.

So, can anyone tell me how this works so I can be prepared?

You should be able to pop your old SIM card into the new phone. Verizon doesn’t require the phone info for the service to work.

If you don’t have a 5G SIM card, I would recommend getting one from Verizon. Once you receive it, you just need to contact Verizon to activate it. Another option would be to go into a Verizon store and they will get everything going for you.
