So, you’ve not long received your Apple Watch, and you’re not into fitness, per se’. But, how do you decide ‘reasonable’ move goals and stand goals...?

For just the average human, what is ‘acceptable’?

Try the recommendations your watch gives you after you introduce your weight, height and age; choose from the first 2 categories (sedentary or medium activity) and give it a go for a couple of weeks. After this period, if your goal is way off, your watch will offer to adjust (up or down).

Keep in mind that in average, just by existing and breathing, you burn about 30 kcal per kg per day. The usual recommendation is to add another 30%-60% to this number (example, 70 kg= from 630 to 1,260 "moving calories" per day).

The point of the move circle is just to challenge you to move around more. More movement (less sedentarism) equals better health in the long run.
