I recently converted Step Brothers in HD using Handbrake and put it into iTunes. I can see the movie in iTunes, I can play it in iTunes, but it won't show up on AppleTV no matter what I do.

I have restarted iTunes, restarted my ATV...I am at a loss.

The movie resolution is 1920x800. Maybe this is a problem? I have other HD content that does show up on ATV but I think it is all 1280x544. Maybe the resolution is too high for ATV to display?

Any thoughts...?

Thanks

Because it will drive a 1080p display. It cannot decode 1080p content. If you have a 1080p TV you will still only be able to play movies/TV shows at up to 720p. If it did not have this hardware support, then your 1080p TV would have black bars on all four sides of the display because the video would only be (up to) 1280x720 dpi.
