Move iPhone From Windows to iMac

I want to move my iPhone from my Dell PC to my new iMac but I would like to keep my Contacts and Texts etc, can this be done?
Im not too bothered about music.

the only way i can think of doing it is to find the latest backup of your iphone on your dell pc, and then when u've set up your iphone on your imac just restore the iphone from the backup you got from your dell, but im not sure whether this'll do text's etc.
